Butler Job Description

**Position**: Butler
**Reports to**: Employer / Household Manager
**Location**: Private household, estate, or corporate setting

Key Responsibilities:

- **Personalized Service**:

- Anticipate the employer’s needs and preferences to provide tailored service.
- Serve meals and beverages, including formal table service.
- Assist with wardrobe management, including packing and unpacking for trips.
- **Household Management**:

- Oversee daily household operations and ensure the smooth running of the household.
- Supervise and manage other household staff such as cleaners, chefs, chauffeurs, gardeners, etc.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for household repairs, maintenance, and services.
- Maintain household budgets, including managing expenses and bills.
- Keep detailed inventories of household items, including food, wine, and other essentials.
- **Event Planning**:

- Plan and oversee formal and informal events, dinners, and parties.
- Organize catering, seating arrangements, and overall event logistics.
- **Security and Confidentiality**:

- Ensure the security of the property and privacy of the employer and their guests.
- Discreetly handle confidential information regarding the employer's personal and business matters.
- **Travel Coordination**:

- Arrange travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, and car services.
- Ensure the employer's travel preferences are followed, including accommodations and entertainment arrangements.
- **Maintenance of Vehicles**:

- Oversee the maintenance, cleaning, and scheduling of vehicles in the employer’s garage.
- Occasionally act as a chauffeur if required.
- **Other Duties**:

- Assist with pet care, when applicable.
- Carry out any ad-hoc requests from the employer.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in household management and staff supervision.
- Knowledge of formal service and table setting.
- Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in managing budgets and household expenses.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Experience:

- Prior experience as a butler or household manager.
- Background in hospitality or luxury service.
- Multilingual abilities are often an advantage.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
