**Via Medica is looking for a General Practitioner to work in our Head Office Abu Dhabi. **The General Practitioner promotes and restores patients' health by developing day-to-day management and long-term planning of the patient care area; directing and developing staff; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary professional staff.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** SUPERVISION: REGISTERED NURSES, EMTs, DRIVERS, AND ANY ASSIGNED STAFF**:

- ** OBJECTIVES**:

- Responsible for the clinical aspects of the medical clinic.
- Organizing, preparing and assuring the delivery of cost effective and quality patient care.
- Ensuring that patient care is effectively performed according to VMIH policies, procedures, and standards.
- ** JOB DUTIES**:

- Working with HSE team and providing support in health and safety related matters.
- Consulting the patients, prescribing medicine and leading proper treatment.
- Arranging speciality appointments for employees
- Guiding and consulting regarding health issues.
- Co-ordinating and supervising all the site health team.
- Maintaining record of vaccination and guidance with vaccination booklet based on your assigned site
- Contacting with site medical facility and arranging the facility based on the inspection in coordination with VMIH head office and client
- Assisting fully in the investigation of incidents and near misses
- Ensuring that Corporate Objectives, Policies and Procedures are implemented in designated areas of responsibility
- Ensuring the privacy of the patient’s interests and wellbeing at all times including patient confidentiality
- Synthesising and analysing all relevant Information to come to a differential diagnosis and/or negotiated clinically safe decision with specialist health improvement advice and appropriate referral to both internal and external resources following agreed processes.
- Sharing specialist clinical knowledge with colleagues and be involved in the delivery of ongoing training, education and support of colleagues
- Actively participating in identifying Health and Safety risk issues.
- Accessing and making effective use of the language systems required for people with language or communication barriers
- Being ultimately responsible, and therefore accountable, for decisions made relating directly to patient care requirements, following clinical consultation and assessment
- Identifying and responding to Immediately Life Threatening cases and arranging appropriate Ambulance facility with available medical facility
- From the information received from the patient, assessing patient needs using your analytical and clinical skills, and reaching a safe and effective decision regarding the appropriate level of care required.
- Making all arrangements for the patient to be further examined/treated by the particular care provider or hospitals, should onward referral be required.
- Dealing professionally and sensitively with highly personal, delicate, confidential reports.
- Participating in regular formal and informal communications with team members and other members HSE department.
- Performing and maintaining health and hygiene inspection.
- Participating in Fire & other Emergency evacuation drill.
- Advising HSE & Management for potential health matters of employees

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**
- ** Education**
- Bachelor in Doctors degree with speciality
- DOH License
- Evidence of well-developed critical decision-making skills.
- Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of unscheduled care would be an advantage.
- IT skills must be acquire/develop during the in-house training period to allow a clear understanding and skilled use of the functionality of the specialised software systems.
- Trained in PHTLS,ACLS,BLS
- Experience in health and safety environment in oil and gas field with relevant knowledge is an advantage
- Qualified and experienced in Pre
- hospital set up.
- Shall be available immediately.
