Fuel Jockey (also known as Fuel Attendant or Gas Station Attendant)

**Job Summary**: A Fuel Jockey is responsible for refueling vehicles at gas stations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the cleanliness of the station. They may also be involved in minor vehicle maintenance tasks such as checking oil levels, cleaning windshields, and handling payments.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Refueling Vehicles**: Safely pump fuel into customers' vehicles as requested.
- **Customer Service**: Greet customers politely, answer any inquiries, and offer assistance.
- **Safety Procedures**: Ensure all safety regulations are followed during the refueling process to prevent accidents or spills.
- **Minor Vehicle Checks**: Perform small maintenance tasks like checking oil, windshield washer fluid levels, and tire pressure upon customer request.
- **Payment Handling**: Operate the cash register or credit card terminal to process customer payments.
- **Station Maintenance**: Keep the fueling area clean and tidy, dispose of trash, and ensure proper maintenance of fuel pumps and surrounding areas.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor fuel levels and report any shortages to the station manager.
- **Reporting Issues**: Report any equipment malfunctions, accidents, or security issues to the supervisor.
- **Adherence to Protocols**: Follow all company policies and procedures, especially those concerning health, safety, and environmental regulations.

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
