**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Course Delivery**: Conduct engaging and interactive lectures, workshops, and practical sessions on Pattern Making, Garment Construction, and Draping for undergraduate/graduate fashion design students.

**Curriculum Development**: Develop and update course materials, syllabus, and assessments in alignment with industry trends and standards, ensuring the relevance of the program.

**Practical Training**: Provide hands-on training and guidance to students in pattern making, garment construction, and draping techniques, including fitting and alterations.

**Demonstration and Instruction**: Conduct live demonstrations to showcase various pattern-making and garment construction processes, emphasizing industry best practices and innovative techniques.

**Critiques and Feedback**: Assess student Assignments, provide constructive feedback, and evaluate their progress, ensuring individual growth and skill development.

**Industry Liaison**:Establish and maintain strong connections with fashion industry professionals and organizations to facilitate internships, industry collaborations, and guest lectures.

**Research and Development**: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in the field of pattern making, garment construction, and draping, and incorporate relevant industry insights into the curriculum.

**Mentoring and Guidance**:Act as an advisor to students, offering guidance on career paths, portfolio development, and job placement strategies.

**Departmental Collaboration**: Collaborate with fellow faculty members and contribute to departmental initiatives, such as fashion shows, exhibitions, and industry events.

**Administrative Tasks**: Oversee and manage the fashion lab, providing technical support, guidance, and expertise in using equipment, tools, and materials. Assist with administrative duties, such as record-keeping, course scheduling, and program evaluation, as required. Maintain a safe and organized lab environment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and assisting students in troubleshooting technical challenges.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**: A bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Pattern Making, or a related field is preferred.

**Expertise**: A proven track record of expertise in Pattern Making, Garment Construction, and Draping techniques is essential. Strong knowledge of industry standards, innovative practices, and technological advancements in the field is highly desirable.

**Professional Experience: A** Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in fashion design, pattern making, and garment construction, preferably with experience in a teaching or training related to these fields.

**Technical Skills**: Proficiency in industry-specific software for pattern making and garment construction (such as CAD software) is advantageous.

**Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts and techniques to students of varying skill levels.

**Creativity and Innovation**: Demonstrated ability to think creatively, innovate, and adapt teaching methods to enhance student learning experiences.

**Collaboration**: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, colleagues, and industry professionals.

**Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.

**Industry Network**: Established connections and networks within the fashion industry, including contacts with professionals, organizations, and potential employers, are highly desirable.
