Statistician, New

Qualifications:

- Should have a Bachelor's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Statistics.
- **For UAE nationals**, preferably with 0 to 3 years of work experience.
- **For Non-UAE nationals**, preferably 2 to 5 years of work experience.

**Experience**:

- Working with statistics; experience in Abu Dhabi Government.

Activities:

- Help to document stakeholder requests for new themes and sub-themes; assist in statistical production for emerging statistics.
- As and when new requirements for the company's statistics or new sectors are created and approved, help to document requirements for statistical products, in collaboration with product development teams.
- Use systems and technologies for statistical processing, analysis and control.
- Support processing tasks as a team member, following standard procedures, as instructed.
- Application of statistical quality standards.
- Integration, comparison, aggregation and disaggregation of data.
- Structuring and organising input data.
- Reviewing and validating input data.
- Editing and imputing data.
- Derivation of variables and units.
- Preparing data files and calculating statistical indicators and measures.
- Calculating sampling errors.
- Creating data files containing estimates.
- Support analysis as a team member, following standard procedures, as instructed.
- Transforming data files into statistical outputs.
- Recording quality indicators.
- Support control and release, following standard procedures, as instructed.
- Checking outputs against checklists.
- Completing consistency checks.
- Collating supporting information, technical notes, briefings, measures of uncertainty and metadata.
- Producing supporting internal documents.
- Translating statistical outputs, if necessary.
- Making corrections to outputs to comply with quality standards (following reviews and audits by Output Quality).
- Assisting with uploading statistical data and reports into systems designed for dissemination (data release and publication).
- Preparing responses to routine requests for statistical information. - Support Section projects, as required.
- Execute tasks, as instructed.

- Maintain own knowledge and develop expertise in statistics and related fields.
