**Job Summary**
The Plater/Plating Coordinator is responsible for the precise and artistic arrangement of food components on plates to meet the recipe's presentation standards. This role plays a crucial part in creating visually appealing dishes that contribute to an exceptional dining experience for customers.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Plate Presentation**:The primary responsibility of the plating team is to present dishes in an aesthetically pleasing manner. This involves arranging food components on the trays/containers in a way that is visually appealing, ensuring that colours, textures, and shapes complement each other.
- **Portion Control**: The plating team must ensure that each plate contains the correct portion size of each component. Consistency in portion control throughout the entire process.
- **Garnishing**: Add garnishes, herbs, sauces, or decorative elements to enhance the appearance and flavour of dishes as per the recipe.
- **Tasting**: The plater/Plating Coordinator must taste each recipe & record the flavour and its consistency. Any inconsistent flavour or changes from the regular recipe must be immediately notified to supervisor or the sous chef.
- **Quality Control**: The plater/Plating Coordinator should inspect every plated tray/container for quality & overall presentation. They need to ensure that all elements are cooked properly & the trays are clean with no spills or smudges on the sides & top layer. Also, checks for foreign particles or contaminants in the trays or containers while plating.
- **Cleanliness**: Keep the plating station clean and organized, following food safety and sanitation guidelines to prevent cross-contamination.
- **Creativity**:Use artistic flair and creativity to design visually stunning dishes or follow the instructions with 100% accuracy.
- **Timing and Coordination**: The Plater/Plating Coordinator works closely with the Sous Chef or the Executive Chef & the dispatch team to ensure that all dishes are plated and ready to for dispatch. Timing is crucial to maintain the flow of the kitchen and ensure recommended temperatures of the food are maintained during the entire process.
- **Special Diets and Allergies**:The Plater/Plating Coordinator must be aware of special dietary requirements and allergies. They need to ensure that dishes are prepared and plated according to these requirements.
- **Communication**: Effective communication is key in the kitchen. The plating team needs to communicate with chefs, sous chefs, and fellow team members to understand any special requests or modifications to dishes.
- **Training and Development**: The Plater/Plating Coordinator may be responsible for training new staff members in proper plating techniques and presentation standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a plating role or a similar culinary position.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for artistic food presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Creativity and adaptability in plating various menu items.

**Working Conditions**:

- The Plater typically works in a fast-paced kitchen environment often on their feet for extended periods. This role requires physical agility and the ability to handle fragile and temperature sensitive dishes safely.
- Other Requirements:

- Since this role involves direct contact with food prepared for the customers, we expect the incumbent to be professionally well groomed. This role is gender specific for men & expected to be clean shaven, if not the Mustache & beard must be neatly maintained.

**Work Timings**:

- The business is operated on a 24/7 model, and it requires its employees to work in different shifts with a staggered weekly off, one day per week, The work schedule will be 9 hours with 1 hour coffee & lunch break.
