**General Function**
Under supervision of the Team Leader or Head of Development research, designs, and implements C/C++ code according to business requirement.

**Reports To (position)**
Development Manager

**Section and Division**
Telecom Development

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Implement computer software systems using C/C++ code following software requirements specification as set up by the Development Department Manager or direct supervisor, this includes: (Research the technology used for the implementation, Analyse the specifications for the implementation, Estimate production time for the implementation, Design of the code implementation, Write unit tests for the implementation, and Maintaining proper documentation of the code)
- Set up and maintain system (code) performance tests and execute code refactoring for existing code
- Perform thorough code reviews of other programmers
- Testing the implementation in a local environment, also checking logs and the user interface for flaws
- If needed, participate in internal meetings, workshops, and presentations
- If needed, participate in meetings with partners and clients
- Ensuring the integrity of the workplace (no downloads, no private code, or data, etc.)
- Provide trainings of department personnel and others on IT development issues related to his development scope and/or technical skills.
- If needed, provide technical support for installations done at the client
- Use our project management tool to report progress
- Find, analyse, and fix reported bugs in our systems

**Qualifications**
- Demonstrate relationship building and teamwork skills within all levels of the organization in a collaborative manner.
- Applicants either hold a bachelor degree in Computer Science (IT B.Tech) or Master Degree in Computer Applications (MCA).
- Must be adaptable in a changing environment
- Coding experience with any vendor SS7 Stack: MAP/PCAP/BSSMAP
- Have complete SDLC understanding
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, effectiveinterpersonal skills, and the ability to interact professionallywith adiverse group of clients and staff
- Ready to join in maximum 30 days after offer acceptance

**Job Skills**
- Strong Working knowledge of the C/C++ Standard Library orStandard Template Library
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Working Experience with IPC including socket programming, semaphores& message queues
- Working Experience in Multi-threading including race conditions, deadlocks and debugging
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Familiarity with continuous integration of code & testing
- Should have experience on SS7 stack coding, Protocol Data Unit (PDU) encoding/decoding techniques, timer implementation in the stack
- Must have at least 4-5 years recent experience writing software in C/C++
- Preferred working experience in Python
- Strong working knowledge of object-oriented development methodologies
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases (MySQL, MariaDB) SQL
- Must have minimum 4-5 years working experience in Telecom Domain
- Preferred: experienced with LCS/LCS-AP/PCAP/BSSAP protocol
- Strong Debugging skill to resolve issues related to Diameter/MAP/LCS/LCS-AP protocol
- Experienced working in Linux environment.
- Experienced in writing and executing unit tests

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
