Our client is looking for a knowledgeable Infectious Disease consultant physician to consult with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Recommends and orders tests to determine the extent of illness or help diagnose the condition.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Leadership participation in Infection Prevention and control;
- Antibiotic stewardship;
- Assessment and evaluation of care for both inpatient and outpatient programs;
- Inpatient and outpatient clinic duties include new consults and post-hospitalization follow-up, IV antibiotics, and HIV consults and management;
- Participate in night and weekend call coverage;
- NO primary care;
- Antimicrobial Stewardship program;
- Assist with activities of infection control and the hospital epidemiology programs;
- Shared call with other ID physicians;
- Outpatient consultation including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment;
- Active Hospitalist program to care for inpatients;
- Located in Norwich CT;
- Inpatient consultations at Backus Hospital;
- Wound Care.

**WORKING CONDITION**:

- Week Hours for Work: 48 Hours / Week
- Over Time Details: NA
- Working Days: 5-6 Days per Week
- Employment Nature / Contract: Permanent - 3 Years Renewable
- Workplace: Hospital Setup
- Probation Period 6 Months
- On-Call Duties: Divided per the number of consultants

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:
**Medical School**: MD, MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution

**Postgraduate Training**: Completion of specialty qualification **Internal Medicine**

**Fellowship**:Infectious Disease

**Clinical Experience**:Not Less Than 5 Years of Recent Experience post fellowship

***SALARY AND BENEFITS**:
**SALARY**:

- Gross Monthly Salary**:AED 60,000 - 65,000** (Varies Based on Qualifications, Years of Experience, and Clinical Privileges) Gross Salary is inclusive of basic salary, housing, and transportation.
