Pilates Instructor

**Job Summary**

In this role as Pilates Instructor, you will be certified, have a talent for motivating others and show your passion for physical fitness. To be able to perform both on mats and help with specially designed apparatus. In addition, since teaching others Pilates requires a good deal of physical activity, this job suits someone who prefers to stay active instead of spending a lot of time seated.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor fitness and teach pilates methodology on a group and one-to-one basis.
- Working with individual participants to achieve specific goals in fitness or rehabilitation
- Design and promote scheduled classes for group fitness and encourage participants to attend regularly
- Instructing participants, assisting and overseeing their work on Pilates apparatus
- Ensure compliance with safety and health standards at all times
- Maintaining your level of fitness through regular personal practice
- Designing and implementing a course of practice covering multiple sessions for the specific needs of a client
- Evaluate exercises performed by participants and recommend correct posture as required
- Maintain a neat and clean exercise room at all times
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with participants and keep detailed client records
- Design and teach barre classes

**Requirements**:

- Must have certification in mat exercises, and Pilates equipment, such as the Cadillac and the Reformer
- Preference is given to STOTT PILATES certified
- Knowledge in training people with injuries, women during pregnancy
- Able to teach barre classes
- A calm and approachable manner
- The ability to lead a large class of participants
- Great communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of the human body and biomechanics through personal experience
- An excellent level of personal fitness, strength and flexibility
- An empathic nature and desire to help others
- A love for teaching

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (required)

**Experience**:

- Pilates Instructor: 4 years (required)

License/Certification:

- STOTT Pilates Certificate (required)

Ability to Commute:

- Fujairah (required)
