**The Post**

The Business Studies department has two full-time teachers in a growing department. We offer Edexcel International GCSE and International A-Level, as well as BTEC in Business.
- Hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification
- Have experience of teaching Business Studies whether that be in the UK or in an international setting
- Have a proven track record of exceptional results in the teaching of GCSE and A Level or IB Diploma.
- Have a minimum two years teaching experience
- Have exceptional communication skills
- Be committed to the Hartland Values which can be found on our website

Hartland International School is in its seventh year of operation and is already an established name on the educational landscape of Dubai.

We offer the Early Years Foundation Stage programme, followed by the National Curriculum for England across primary and Key Stage 3, with a full and wide range of GCSEs and A Levels in the upper secondary. The school is an accredited COBIS member, has received The Challenge Award from NACE and is a member of BSME.

The vision at Hartland is to create a leading British international school, through a unique blend of traditional values and innovative approaches to education. We are committed to the delivery of the arts across our curriculum and believe that it has a crucial place in the timetable. With specialist teachers delivering Drama and Music across the primary phase, and with external specialist partnerships for Dance and instrumental lessons, we offer a unique access to our children to experiment with expression through the arts. Our curriculum philosophy supports our aim to unleash a child’s potential through expression and creativity helping build confidence and social skills necessary for future success.

**Unique language immersion programme**

To help students shape, retain and connect with the world, Hartland offers multiple language learning opportunities with a unique language immersion programme and an option to choose from 4 languages in the primary phase: Spanish, French, German and Mandarin. In Year 7, we add Italian to the language options available.

Embedding digital technology into the classroom to inspire creativity, collaboration, sharing and innovation is a key component of the core curriculum. With Computing and Computational Thinking delivered from Year 3, providing the right environment that will encourage innovated thinking is an intrinsic part of our philosophy.
