A rapidly growing next-gen financial ecosystem platform that is bringing financial inclusion to the masses is searching for a **Head of Risk & Compliance** to join their exceptional team in **Dubai**.

At this critical juncture of major inflection and scale, our client is looking to hire a Head of Risk and Compliance to be the guiding force in the organisation in order to establish, implement and execute on policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and manage risk effectively. This role will be instrumental in building a culture of compliance and ensuring the organisation's risk profile is properly managed professionally.

This is a multifaceted role for an outstanding Risk and Compliance leader. We require somebody who is inspirational, can thrive in a fast paced company, and likes to build things from the ground up and set up the company up for growth and success from a regulatory perspective.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance and risk management framework and monitor its effectiveness
- Oversee the management of all operational, financial, and regulatory risk within the company
- Ensure that products, policies, and procedures comply with relevant local and international laws, regulations, and standards
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information for auditing processes
- Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance audits to ensure the effectiveness of existing controls, and implement changes as necessary
- Foster a positive compliance and risk culture and provide staff training on the latest rules, regulations, and best practices
- Act as a key contact point for regulatory bodies and facilitate regulatory inspections and audits

**Qualifications**
- A Bachelor's Degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications are highly desirable
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk and compliance roles within the financial services industry, with significant experience in the digital banking or fintech sector
- Excellent knowledge of banking laws, regulations, and operations in the GCC region
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory issues
- High ethical standards and professional integrity
