We are an Engineering Consultancy office located in Business Bay, Dubai and we are looking for an Structural Draftsman with at least 5 of experience.

**Key Responsibilities of a Structural Draftsman**:

- **Drafting and Detailing**:

- Prepare detailed structural drawings, plans, sections, and details using computer-aided design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD.
- Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to accurately represent structural components, connections, and dimensions.
- Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, codes, and standards, including those prescribed by Dubai Municipality and other regulatory authorities.
- **Coordination with Engineers and Designers**:

- Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and other design professionals to incorporate design changes and revisions into structural drawings.
- Communicate effectively with project team members to clarify design intent, resolve design conflicts, and ensure accurate representation of structural elements.
- **Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)**:

- Implement QA/QC procedures to maintain the accuracy and integrity of structural drawings.
- Review drawings for completeness, clarity, and compliance with design standards and project requirements.
- Verify dimensions, annotations, and material specifications to ensure drawings are ready for construction use.
- **Revise and Update Drawings**:

- Update and revise structural drawings based on markups, comments, and feedback provided by project stakeholders.
- Maintain organized drawing files and document control procedures to track revisions and ensure version control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Incorporate as-built information and field modifications into final drawings for record-keeping and project documentation purposes.
- **Site Support and Coordination**:

- Provide support during construction activities by addressing requests for information (RFIs), issuing drawing clarifications, and resolving drawing-related issues.
- Coordinate with site engineers and construction teams to verify field conditions and ensure accurate implementation of structural designs.
- Assist in the preparation of shop drawings and fabrication drawings for structural components as needed.

**Qualifications for a Structural Draftsman**:

- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a structural draftsman, preferably in the UAE construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant drafting software.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and construction techniques.
- Knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations and building codes related to structural drafting.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with BIM software such as Revit is advantageous.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry standards and best practices in structural drafting.
- Fluent in English
