**Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**: Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans in physics that align with IGCSE AS/A Level curriculum standards and learning objectives.
- **Instruction**: Deliver engaging and interactive instruction in physics, covering topics such as mechanics, electricity and magnetism, thermodynamics, waves, optics, nuclear physics, and particle physics.
- **Laboratory Work**: Organize and conduct laboratory experiments and practical activities to reinforce theoretical concepts and develop experimental skills. Ensure proper safety protocols are followed during laboratory sessions.
- **Student Assessment**: Assess student learning through various methods such as quizzes, exams, laboratory reports, projects, and practical assessments. Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth and development.
- **Use of Resources**: Utilize textbooks, educational materials, multimedia resources, and online tools effectively to enhance learning experiences and student outcomes. Incorporate simulations, demonstrations, and real-world examples into instruction.
- **Classroom Management**: Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and success. Establish and enforce classroom rules and safety procedures.
- **Differentiated Instruction**: Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students. Provide additional support or enrichment opportunities as needed to ensure all students can succeed.
- **Parent Communication**: Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, academic performance, and classroom activities. Collaborate with parents to support student learning and address any concerns or challenges.
- **Professional Development**: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices in physics education, teaching strategies, and educational trends. Participate in workshops, conferences, and training sessions as required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in physics or a related field is typically required. A master's degree or higher in physics or education is often preferred.
- **Teaching Certification**: Valid teaching certification/license in physics or secondary education from an accredited institution or governing body.
- **Teaching Experience**: Prior experience teaching physics at the IGCSE AS/A Level or post-secondary level is desirable. Experience with diverse student populations and teaching in multicultural settings is a plus.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate complex physics concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
