The main purpose of the post holder is to to provide a professional and effective cleaning service across all the company's soft services. To facilitate the Bics training of all Soft Services staff, to liaise with Specialist sub-contractors to meet the needs of the service, and to provide additional management support as required.

**Job Responsibilities**:

- To ensure the Cleaning Service provides the highest standards of delivery demonstrating excellent service at all times.
- To ensure specialist sub
- contractors are compliant with Serco's Code of Conduct, and are providing efficient service and value for money.
- To ensure that all areas within sphere of control are adequately staffed and that staff are proactively supervised in the undertaking of their duties.
- To ensure that all staff have access to the appropriate resources and equipment to carry out their role.
- To ensure that all staff completes their tasks to the standards determined in work schedules and to escalate any on-going issues to the Soft Services Supervisor as necessary.
- To monitor and record sickness and absence for Team Leaders, undertaking return to work interviews with staff following periods of sickness or absence.
- To carry out counselling sessions as and when required to the appropriate staff groups.
- To carry out cleaning standard self and joint audits with client representatives, to an agreed timetable and take appropriate action where a shortfall in standards is identified.
- To carry out job training and or assessment of staff where this is appropriate and necessary to support the trainer.
- To monitor the performance of and where necessary coach less experienced members of the team to ensure standards are maintained.
- To ensure that Health & Safety standards are maintained in the department and ensure effective implementation of Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
- To carry our risk assessments as requested with the support of the Soft Services Manager where necessary.
- To develop safe work instructions where these are deemed necessary.
- To carry out Health & Safety inspections as to take corrective action where issues have been raised.
- To ensure that all cleaning staff comply with relevant policies and procedures and in particular those which relate cleaning and waste handling.
- To undertake appraisals and appraisal reviews for Cleaning Team Leaders with appropriate training.
- To support Soft Services Manager in the recruitment and selection process where required.
- To liaise with teams to ensure the efficient running of the service and meet with client representatives to resolve initial problems and queries.
- To liaise with other key Soft Services staff as required out of order to ensure the required service is maintained.
- To recommend the approval of annual leave to the appropriate staff group.
- To ensure all record keeping and documentation is completed in a systematic and timely manner.
- To monitor maintenance standards within departments and where necessary liaise with Estates departments to arrange cleaning.
- To provide flexible cover for other team members when required.
- To manage department costs, to ensure labor and materials are used in the most cost efficient manner, to assist Soft Services Manager to control costs, and make savings if applicable.
- To assist Soft Services Manager to deliver a service which complies with LEED regulations e.g. reducing chemicals used on site, introducing innovative solutions/ideas.
- To promote effective communication throughout the department and hold regular staff meetings as required formally or informally by walking the floor communicating with staff.
- To undertake any other duties as may be agreed between the post holder and the Soft Services Manager.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Recognized supervisory training or equivalent
- Requires knowledge of Cleaning Methods & working practices, and Health & Safety requirements
- Knowledge of Bics training is a must.
- Familiar with cleaning machines.
- Knowledge of auditing systems and CAFM system.

**Skills**:

- Good Communication skills.
- Good Customer Care skills.
- People person /leadership skills.
- Good organizer/time management.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 3 year experience in similar role.**
**- Driving licenses is a must.**
**- High School or Diploma holder required.**
- **Bics Certification is required.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: AED4,000.00 per month
