Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain database architecture standards and best practices Participate in the evaluation of emerging technology and tools.-
- Provide database architecture leadership and mentor projects.-
- Work with development teams in migrating on-premise database to various Azure data stores.-
- The DevOps Data Architect will be required to analyze an array of product offerings and business requirements within the organization.-
- Participate in the development of Database Architecture and Roadmaps in support of business strategies.-
- Determine how the enterprise’s data will be stored and utilized to best provide actionable data to the end user.-
- Analyze existing data design and suggest improvements that promote performance, stability and interoperability.-
- Work with internal and external resources to develop robust Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) processes for disparate data sources.- Skills and Experience- Minimum of 7 years of IT/DevOps experience with large-scale data and analytics solutions-
- Experience in turning business use cases and requirements into technical solutions-
- Experience in business processing mapping of data and analytics solutions-
- Experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies-
- Experience in managing teams, being a technical coach-
- Experience driving knowledge transfer and/or training programs-
- Experience with agile delivery methodologies, proof of concepts and prototyping-
- Experience with Azure ARM templates, PowerShell and CI/CD using Azure DevOps-
- Experience with preparing data for Data Science and Machine Learning purposes-
- Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloguing, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows-
- Experience with different database technologies (e.g., SQL database(s), NoSQL such as Hadoop, MongoDB, Redis, etc.-
- Experience with exposing data to end-users via Power BI, Azure API Apps.-
- Knowledge of Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Spark, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Stream Analytics and Azure SQL DB-
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldPreferred experience- Cloud-based networking (VNETs, NSGs, Route Tables, Hub/Spoke based architecture etc)-
- Strong understanding of CI/CD (YAML and Classic Pipelines)-
- PaaS (Web Apps, Function Apps, ASE, Storage Accounts, Azure Redis Cache, Logic Apps, API Management)-
- Some experience with Containers/Docker/Kubernetes either for a microservice based architecture or Service Orientated etc-
- Git, ARM, Terraform, Ansible, Azure CLI or similar.-
