As a Special Needs (SEN) Teacher at Diyar Schools, you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing the learning experiences of students with special educational needs. You will be responsible for creating inclusive lesson plans, providing tailored support, and fostering an environment where all students can thrive.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Quality of Learning**:
Plan and execute dynamic lessons that accommodate the diverse needs of students with special educational needs. Utilize assessment data to tailor instruction and monitor student progress.
- **Conditions for Learning**:
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged and supported. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall SEN curriculum and ensure all students have access to quality education.
- **Developing Learning**:
Provide constructive feedback to students and encourage them to take ownership of their learning. Foster a growth mindset and celebrate achievements. Implement various assessment methods to evaluate student understanding and mastery of concepts. Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions and support student growth.
- **Evaluating Learning**:
Implement assessment strategies to monitor student learning and progress. Reflect on teaching practices and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance instructional effectiveness.
- **Professional Development**:
Stay current with advancements in special education and instructional best practices. Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and resources.
**Performance Indicators**:
- Student engagement and enthusiasm for learning
- Student achievement and progress in relation to individual education plans (IEPs)
- Compliance with educational policies and commitment to continuous improvement
- Positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Contribution to the development of a vibrant and inclusive curriculum
**Qualifications**:
- Qualified Teacher Status or Certification in respective country
- MOE Approval
- Degree in Special Education or related field, with relevant Postgraduate qualification preferred
- Strong understanding of special education principles and practices
- Proven ability to engage and support students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
