**JOB PURPOSE**
- Responsible for driving a van, Truck or lighter vehicle to deliver and pick up merchandise or packages. Takes orders, intercepts package, and delivers to appropriate person. Obtains signature.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Deliver goods to people or companies.
- Determine address where package is going.
- Ensure delivered product/Qty is same as delivery notes
- Check to see if package is damaged.
- Follow traffic signs and street signs to get to destination.
- Inspect and maintain vehicle, adding fluids and oil as needed.
- Pre shift Check on tires, brakes, lights, and gas.
- To use daily trip sheets and to be filled in full everyday
- Take payments when needed.
- Present change and receipts
- To communicate with sales team to eliminate returns on daily basics
- Communication with stores supervisor of any issues.
- Monitor traffic conditions to avoid delays.
- Maintain logs of packages delivered.
- Ensure inventory loads match shipping papers.
- To wear company provided uniform and safety shoes during working hours.
- To report to warehouse at start and end of duty every day.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post.
- Performs related activities as instructed by the Department Manager.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Drivers typically are not required to have specific educational requirements. They should be literate and functional.
- Minimum experience 2 years in same field.
- Understanding numeric and written data, and can effectively conduct their job roles, and must be able to fulfil any other requirements set by law or the employer.
- You should also have relevant identification and driver’s license for the vehicles you will be handling.
