IT Assistant

The key responsibility of the IT Assistant is to provide necessary IT support and services locally in the financial institution, including IT administrative management and coordination, liaison with internal and external contacts, IT asset management, project support, etc.

**Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Liaise and manage local suppliers of IT Helpdesk services, IT equipment, telecommunication services and others and coordinate acquisition of the same.
- Monitor and maintain network and servers, and preform monthly and ad-hoc checks for suspicious/malicious activity and collaborate on resolution.
- Implement IT security standards to prevent potential threats.
- Provide support to users on technical issues and inquiries.
- Coordinate incident resolution and service request completion with various workgroups.
- Oversee and participate in daily operations and management throughout the IT asset lifecycle, including but not limited to IT inventory management, planning, procurement support, storage, and distribution.
- Design, consult and implement IT solutions in conjunction with Business requirements and Headquarters IT to ensure users are adequately supported.
- Ensure compliance with corporate practices, policies, procedures and local legal requirements.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor(s).
- Bachelor's degree or above in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar from a reputable university.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant proven experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in English both written and spoken.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines; service orientation.
- Ability to deal with extremely confidential and sensitive information.
- Industry certification preferred: Microsoft, ITIL, CompTIA, ServiceNow, AWS, Citrix, Cisco, and vendor-specific (Lenovo, Apple).
- Extensive experience with IT systems, network, infrastructure, cyber security, and related technologies.
- Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security.
- A pronounced can-do attitude, complemented by the capability to multi-task in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Can work remotely or onsite

- Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
