We are looking for a Building Physicist, who will be a key member of our Sustainability team, responsible for delivering CFD services for the built environment and providing external micro-climate analysis support to AESGs Clients.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist and contribute to the successful delivery of projects
- Support more senior team members in project management
- Utilize CFD tools to solve physics-based problems related to indoor and outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, contaminant dispersion, and condensation controls
- Improve existing analytical capabilities by developing and improving best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflows
- Undertake climate investigations to understand the risk posed by natural hazards and the physical threat of climate change
- Perform building physics analysis to determine critical environmental conditions and improve the design of passive and active conditioning systems
- Identify the impact of different climate conditions on microclimate, pedestrian wind comfort, and air quality
- Conduct energy modelling to assess and validate energy efficient design features
- Assist to conduct energy auditing activities to assess operational performance and provide support to improve energy efficiency

**Essential Skills**:
- Technical expertise in CFD modelling
- Analytical skills and ability to carry out project sub tasks
- Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer
- Background in sustainability, building design, and high-performance design analytics
- Knowledgeable in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Advanced Fluid Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, and Building Mechanical Systems
- Knowledge of mechanical system architecture and components
- High proficiency in using CFD with more than 5 years of related experience and solving environmental problems
- Advanced proficiency and experience in modelling systems and tools systems, Ansys, OpenFOAM, IES, Python, Excel
- Fundamental knowledge of fluid dynamics, building physics, energy modelling, and/or environmental physics
- Coding, scripting, and/or digital awareness skills
