**WORK LOCATION: TAWAM, AL AIN - UAE**

To capture accurate & detailed documentation (paper, electronic, or hybrid) of the encounter in a timely manner and to handle time-consuming clerical responsibilities for physicians during patient encounters.

Scribes also complete clerical activities necessary to assist with the processing of physician orders for tests and medications. By accomplishing the time-consuming clerical duties that otherwise would be assigned to a physician, Scribes enable physicians to spend more time with individual patients and increase the overall flow of patients in the department.

Submitting all scribed reports to the responsible physician for review, signature, correction, approval, and insertion into the patient medical record.

Responding to verbal and written inquiries in a timely manner.

Ensuring correct spelling of medical terms, correct punctuation, and grammar.

Identifying, interpreting and evaluating inconsistence, discrepancies, and inaccuracies in medical reporting; appropriately editing, revising and clarifying them without altering the meaning of the encounter.

Identifying and eliminating duplicate records both paper and electronic in the dictation system.

Verifying patient information for accuracy and completeness utilizing the electronic medical records.

Clinical coding experience is a must.

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (required)

**Experience**:

- medical scribing in a clinical setting: 2 years (required)
- clinical coding: 2 years (required)
- translating medical terminology into standardized codes: 2 years (required)
- hands on in Electronic Health Record (EHR) system: 2 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Certification as a Certificated Medical Scribe or equivalent (required)
