Rigger - Offshore

**JOB PURPOSE**:
Set up rigging for offshore loading terminals (SPM’s) in order to connect or disconnect loading hoses to oil tankers as needed to fulfill the operating requirements

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- **Job Specific Accountabilities**_
- Follow all standard operating procedures to carry out rigging procedures at the Offshore Loading terminals.
- Set up rigging for Offshore loading terminals (SPM’s) in order to connect or disconnect loading hoses to oil tankers as needed to fulfil the operating requirements.
- Select rigging gear, such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weight, size, operational requirement, and work schedule in order to carry out rigging operations.
- Clean and dress machine surfaces and component parts in preparation for rigging operations.
- Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools to carry out rigging operations.
- Control movement of heavy rigging equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.
- Test Rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
- Dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment.

- Implement all standard safety operating procedures, instructions and precautions to ensure a safe working environment for self and others.
- Provide assistance in all emergency situations to ensure safety of personnel and protection of equipment and gear against damage.

**Housekeeping**
- Keep the working environment clean and tidy so that the rigging operations can be carried out in an orderly and safe manner in line with the company standards.

**4. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:
**Internal**
- Offshore Rigger Foreman, Team members on the boat.

**External**
- Contract staff working offshore.

**5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**:
**Minimum Qualification**
- School certificate (10th standard) with a good understanding of the standard rigging operating procedures and the safety procedures and precautions.
- Must be physically fit and able to swim.
- Must be able to use wireless hand held radios.
- Must have good seamanship.

**Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills**
- 2 years past experience as an Offshore Rigger.

**Professional Certifications**
- Rigging and Slinging.

**TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES**:

- Basic English Language literacy and ability to read and implement the standard operating procedures manual.

- Ability to learn and practice the standard safety and operating procedures, safety consciousness, teamwork:
**Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability**
- Must ensure all rigging gears are certified and tested regularly before operations as per ADNOC HSE management system, and to ensure all such equipment are within date of examination.
- Responsible to understand the risk assessment of the intended operation(s) as per the requirement of the ADNOC safety management.
- Must carry out HSE duties assigned by the Station manager or his/her delegate(s).
- Responsible to understand the ability to stop the work when safe to do so as per ADNOC HSE Policy.
- Responsible to understand the HSE requirement with respect to rigging/lifting operations with respect to the intended job.
