**About the Role**:
Al Masaood Energy is currently recruiting experienced and highly motivated CP Technician to be a part of a great team based at Abu Dhabi, UAE. If successful, you will be responsible for Corrosion
protection
**Responsibilities**:
- **Installation & Maintenance**:
- Install, inspect, and maintain cathodic protection systems (both galvanic and impressed current systems) on pipelines, tanks, and other metallic infrastructure.
- Conduct periodic inspections and monitoring of CP systems to ensure proper functioning and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair of malfunctioning CP systems, including diagnosing issues with rectifiers, anodes, and wiring.
- **Testing & Monitoring**:
- Conduct routine electrical tests (e.g., potential measurements, voltage gradients, and current flows) to assess the effectiveness of CP systems.
- Monitor and analyze data collected from test stations, rectifiers, and reference electrodes.
- Prepare testing reports, record observations, and document corrective actions taken.
- **Field Surveys**:
- Perform detailed surveys and inspections of pipelines and other assets using CP testing equipment (e.g., voltmeters, multimeters, test stations).
- Evaluate environmental conditions and factors that may affect system performance, such as soil resistivity, coating quality, and the presence of stray currents.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:
- Inspect, maintain, and calibrate CP testing equipment and instruments.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and that calibration is performed regularly.
- **Regulatory Compliance & Documentation**:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., NACE, ANSI, API, etc.) and industry standards in the installation and maintenance of CP systems.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and testing, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and up to date.
- **Safety & Environmental Compliance**:
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and environmental guidelines.
- Identify potential safety hazards during field operations and take corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries.
**Required Skills**:
- 3 years Diploma or higher
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in oil and gas
- AMPP(NACE) certification for CP Level-1
- Cathodic protection surveys e.g. potential survey, close interval survey, ACCA/ACVG, DCVG Survey and interference tests.
- Good Knowledge in Electrical and Electronics Standards
- CP systems equipment maintenance such as T/R, Solar CP Controllers, CP Solar Batteries and CP Cables.
- Conduct Soil Resistivity using Wenner Four Pin/Three pins or Geonic Survey using EM-34 as per specific field requirement Knowledge and Experience in installation of Various CP Anode Configurations, Reference electrodes and CP Coupons.
- Good MS Office, SAP, ONE APM and PC skills,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Preferred Skills**:
- , CP Level-2
- Knowledge of AMPP (NACE), BS and ISO CP Standards
