Mandarin Governess

Full-time Mandarin-speaking Governess required for B5 & B2, located in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, 20,000 AED — 25,000 AED per month, Live-in/out, Start ASAP.

A lovely family located in Dubai, who will be relocating later in the year to Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly experienced, qualified, and friendly Governess to assist with the academic, social, and emotional development of their two children.

As a Governess, you will assist with the daily routines of the children, from wake-up to bedtime (cleanliness, breakfast, school runs, bedtime). You will plan and implement a program of learning, guided by their current curriculum and needs, engaging the children through games and interactive learning and providing an engaging environment for them to thrive and be immersed in the language and culture.

The two young boys attend school and nursery. You will communicate regularly with their teachers and support learning and homework. Mandarin is mandatory within their school. In addition, you will be required to assist with their social and emotional development as they grow and promote independence, healthy young minds, as well as healthy living. The young boys are active and enjoy sports, playing games, and many activities such as water parks in their free time.

During the school day, you will be expected to prepare for classes and activities and assist with the organisation of the children’s belongings and bedrooms.

Previous experience of working in private households is essential as is work experience with similar aged children. Qualified in early years is essential as is being a strong swimmer and a fluent Mandarin speaker.

The family travels regularly and a flexible approach to international travel is required. You will be at times required to share with the children or another member of staff, depending on the location.
This is a live-out position with a private apartment provided in Dubai. The family will be relocating in August to Saudi Arabia and accommodation may be live-in, with a private bedroom, and staff area provided.

The working schedule will be 6 days per week. Working from 6.30 am — 6.30 pm. Sunday will be a day off in Dubai and Saturday in Saudi Arabia.
