**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in science for Grades 5 and 6, aligned with the California Common Core Standards.
- Develop lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of EAL students.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies to make science accessible and exciting for all learners.
- Integrate hands-on experiments, project-based learning, and technology to enhance understanding.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and ensure alignment with school goals.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and curiosity.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree in Science or Education (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching certification, with experience in American curriculum schools.
- Proven experience teaching EAL learners and differentiating instruction effectively.
- Strong knowledge of the California Common Core Standards in Science.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
- Non-Native English speakers must have proof of TOEFL certification or an IELTS score of 7.0+
- Teacher license in home country.
- Evidence of a minimum of two years teaching experience.
