Quantity Serveyor

Responsibilities:_
- _Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future products._
- _Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues._
- _Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work._
- _Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates._
- _Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates._
- _Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops._
- _Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors._
- _Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures._
- _Establish and maintain the tendering process, and conduct negotiations._
- _Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors._
- _Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components._
- _Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or to reduce cost._
- _Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project._
- _Visit the site and record information about access, drainage and topography, and availability of utility services._
- Requirements:_
- Must be fluent in verbal and written Arabic and English._
- Relevant degree in Civil Road and Infrastructure Engineering, Quantity Surveying_
- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of civil structures._
- Highly analytical, conventional, and attentive to detail_
- 5 years’ experience in the relative field and GCC/ UAE region_
- Great ability for management of financial resources_
- Versatile in Cost and Estimation Software_
- Excellent Microsoft Excel Skills_
