Our client, a tier-1 global hedge fund, is in search of skilled Portfolio Managers specialising in Equity Long/Short strategies. As a crucial member of the team, you will have the opportunity to run your own strategy and you'll be responsible for effectively managing a significant capital allocation while ensuring rigorous risk management across all active positions.

Our client prioritizes teamwork and fosters regular discussions on global macroeconomic trends, geopolitical shifts, and financial market dynamics. Our client values professionals who can take insights from their investment sphere to inform the team's perspective, leveraging collective knowledge to enhance individual performance within their mandate.

**Key Duties**:

- Autonomously oversee a substantial capital allocation by devising, implementing, and monitoring an Equity Long/Short strategy.
- Develop portfolios with an emphasis on maintaining balanced factor and industry exposure, low net delta, and high idiosyncratic risk attribution.
- Conduct comprehensive market and industry research and perform fundamental business analysis.
- Enforce rigorous risk management practices, continuously evaluating the merits of positions and investment theses.
- Efficiently collaborate within a global team setting, contributing to and benefiting from collective insights and expertise.
- Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, rules, and internal company policies.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven track record in Equity Long/Short investments, showcasing strong investment skills and a history of successful performance across G10 and Emerging Markets.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in portfolio management, preferably within a hedge fund environment, though sell-side experience is also considered.
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant industries and/or regions, along with proficiency in equity portfolio risk management techniques.
- Adaptability and willingness to excel within a highly collaborative global team, with a keen interest in learning from fellow investors.
- Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and integrity.
- Exceptional decision-making skills, capable of performing effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Bachelors, Masters or PHD degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Finance related field.
