Duties & Responsibilities

Assign, schedule and monitor the tasks of the staff.

Interprets, trains associates on and consistently enforces company policies, protocols and procedures including but not limited to safety, record keeping.

Supervise compliance with Company policies and/or processes by action and speech.

Regularly audit areas such as driver logs, record keeping, driver work practices, equipment conditions, are in compliance with company policy and regulations

Maintain all drivers’ logs,

Maintain and record all vehicle maintenance documents, to ensure complete company policy.

Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of company operations, policies and procedures

Provides support, advice and guidance to drivers and monitors in responding to a variety of issues

Conduct initial defensive driving training for all drivers

Maintain, track and follow vehicles regular services, maintenance and repairs.

Liaise with suppliers for all vehicles related quotations, and invoices

Ensure to track routes to assure on time deliveries.

Coordinate with drivers, staff and management to hold meetings and resolve issues.

Coordinate on a regular basis with transportation staff and authorities in case of accidents.

Arrange for onsite periodical inspections of vehicles in use.

Develop amiable, genuine and supportive relations with drivers on a personal and professional level and collaborate with other departments to solve their problems.

Coordinate with drivers to Ensure timely pickup and delivery.

Keep track of driver hours and miles to achieve maximum productivity in given hours.

Maintain inventory controls of materials, vehicles related items and products

Ensure implementation day-to-day activities of transportation.

Supervise workloads, schedule, tasks and other related functions.

Maintain and manage all databases relating to transportation activities.

Ensure compliance of safety standards in transportation functions.

Ensure maintenance of vehicles in good running condition.

Initiate cost efficiency measures in transportation operations.

Implement environmental laws, procedures and processes.

Manage, supervise and monitor fleet operations.

Inspection of under repair vehicles for validating the proposed repair requirements.
Coordinating with vehicle and workshops for timely submission of quotes and Invoices for approval and payment processing.
Maintaining vehicle annual registration validity for statutory compliance.
Monitoring Driver License validity and coordinating for timely renewal.
To maintain the validity of road permits/delivery permit.

Driver supervisors must be able to communicate with their team and their managers. He may be responsible for training new drivers, so you should be able to explain processes and procedures clearly. You may also be responsible for communicating with customers and clients, so you should be able to explain any issues or concerns.

Monitoring operations and communicating with other members of staff.

Inspecting vehicles to make sure that they are in good working order, including brakes, tires, lights, and oil levels

Arranging for the repair of damaged vehicles or scheduling replacements for vehicles that cannot be repaired

Training new drivers on safety procedures and rules.

Reporting accidents or other problems to management so that they can be addressed appropriately

Supervising employees to ensure that they are performing their jobs properly

Making sure that drivers are adhering to company policies regarding safe driving practices and customer service

Schedule drivers

Assign delivery routes

Update driver information

Maintain records of vehicle use and maintenance

Process trip logs or report

Ensure compliance with regulations

**Salary**: Up to AED3,500.00 per month
