Hci Administrator

Urgent requirement for a HCI Administrator to be based onsite in Saudi Arabia on 1 year contract for a major IT vendor.

**Responsibilities**:

- Create the virtual servers, increase resources, and follow up with assigned technical teams.
- Manage the virtual environment and follow up on solving problems according to the service level agreement.
- Install updates according to the procedures followed with cyber security.
- Provide the necessary support to the Ministry's servers team in solving problems and implementing set requirements.
- Activating the new virtual networks in cooperation with the Ministry's Datacenter Networks Team.
- Monitor servers and resolve related problems in cooperation with the system owner (Servers and Storage Units Department).
- Respond to a supportive system for the implementation of virtual environment services
- Open incident ticket with the manufacturer and follow up until resolving problems associated with the virtual environment and storage units.
- Manage HCI hybrid servers systems and follow up on periodic maintenance with the manufacturer.
- Manage storage units and solve associated problems with the manufacturer.
- Perform periodic maintenance of storage units by installing the latest updates to stabilize the operations.
- Prepare periodic reports on servers and their performance state.
- Conduct periodic inspection and comprehensive technical evaluation of the virtual environment components and storage units and open related incident ticket with the manufacturer and ensure the problem is resolved.
- Respond to attend to emergencies and emergency meetings until the problem is resolved.

Requirement:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an HCI Administrator or similar role, managing hyperconverged infrastructure environments.
- Strong knowledge of hyperconverged infrastructure concepts and technologies, such as VMware vSAN, Nutanix, or Microsoft Azure Stack HCI.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, including VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with storage management and data protection mechanisms in HCI environments.
- Understanding of network concepts and protocols, including VLANs, subnets, and routing.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Relevant certifications, such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), are highly desirable.
