**Job Title: Purchaser/Buying Agent**

**Overview**:
As a Purchase/Buying Agent, you will play a pivotal role in our company's procurement process, ensuring timely acquisition of goods and services at the best possible price and quality. Your keen negotiation skills, market knowledge, and attention to detail will be crucial in maintaining optimal inventory levels and fostering strong relationships with suppliers. **Key Responsibilities**:
**1. **Sourcing and Procurement**:

- Identify reliable suppliers and maintain a comprehensive supplier database.
- Source products, materials, and services necessary for the company's operations.
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms.
- Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services while adhering to budgetary constraints.

**2. **Inventory Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement needs and develop inventory replenishment strategies.
- Implement inventory control measures to optimize stock levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify areas for improvement.

**3. **Supplier Relationship Management**:

- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and drive value-added partnerships.
- Address supplier concerns or issues promptly and effectively to maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate supplier contracts, agreements, and service level agreements to align with company objectives.

**4. **Cost Analysis and Budgeting**:

- Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and maximize purchasing power.
- Develop and manage procurement budgets in coordination with finance and management teams.
- Track and report key procurement metrics, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory turnover.

**5. **Compliance and Risk Management**:

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in procurement processes.
- Evaluate supplier risk factors and implement risk mitigation strategies to safeguard against disruptions.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations, market trends, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

**6. Credit-Based Sales Management**:

- Manage credit-based sales transactions, including establishing credit terms, evaluating customer creditworthiness, and facilitating payment collection.
- Collaborate with the finance department to assess credit risk and establish credit limits for customers.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collection.
- Implement credit control measures to minimize bad debt and mitigate financial risks associated with credit sales.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and resolve billing disputes effectively.

**Qualifications**:

- Any degree or a related field experience.
- Proven experience as a purchasing agent, buyer, or procurement specialist.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build productive relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
