HEG Group, a leading sustainable investment holding company with over 35 years of experience in international markets, is seeking an **experienced Paralegal** to join its legal team in the UAE. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to assist our legal department with a variety of tasks, including legal research, document preparation, case management, and client support. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in ensuring the efficient management of legal processes while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations in the UAE.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Legal Research**: Conduct research on UAE laws, regulations, legal precedents, and international legal matters relevant to our cases. Familiarity with the UAE Civil Code, Sharia Law, and other relevant legal frameworks is essential.
- **Document Drafting and Review**: Assist in the preparation, drafting, and review of legal documents, including contracts, letters, agreements, legal notices, and court filings. Ensure all documents comply with UAE legal standards and guidelines.
- **Case Management**: Maintain and organize case files, track key deadlines, and assist in the preparation of case materials for hearings, trials, or client meetings.
- **Court Filings**:Prepare and file documents with local courts and government agencies in the UAE, ensuring compliance with UAE court procedures and filing deadlines. This includes experience with the Dubai Courts, Abu Dhabi Courts, and other UAE-based jurisdictions.
- **Client Liaison**: Communicate with clients to gather case information, provide legal updates, and support attorneys in preparing for consultations or legal proceedings.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure that all legal practices and documents adhere to the legal and regulatory requirements of the UAE, including but not limited to corporate law, family law, employment law, and real estate law.
- Contract Management: Assist in the review and management of commercial contracts, leases, and other legal agreements to ensure compliance with UAE laws.
- **Legal Translation**: If required, translate legal documents from Arabic to English and vice versa, ensuring accurate legal terminology is used.
- **Other Administrative Duties**: Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling communication with external legal bodies or stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- **Education**:A Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution is required; a law degree or higher education in legal studies is preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of paralegal experience in the UAE, with a proven track record in handling UAE-specific legal matters. Experience in areas such as corporate law, real estate law, employment law, or commercial law is a plus.
- Familiarity with UAE court systems, including civil, commercial, and criminal litigation, is highly preferred.

**Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of UAE laws and legal procedures, including local court systems, regulatory frameworks, and legal documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, attorneys, and regulatory bodies.
- Proficient in legal research tools and databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and case management software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail, particularly in document preparation, proofreading, and case management.
- Familiarity with UAE’s e-filing systems, Dubai Courts, and other governmental procedures.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification from a professional legal body, such as the UAE Legal Translators Association or other relevant regional certifications.
- Experience working with multinational corporations or international law firms in the UAE.
- Knowledge of DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre).
- Proficient in English (fluent in both written and spoken). Fluency in any other language such as Arabic is an added advantage.
