**Software Development Project Coordinator Job Summary**:
The Software Development Project Coordinator will play a critical role in managing and coordinating software development projects for education-focused products. This position is responsible for organizing resources, tracking project milestones, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring that software projects align with educational objectives, user requirements, and business goals.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Project Coordination and Planning**:
- Assist in defining project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with product managers, developers, designers, and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines to ensure timely project delivery.
- Coordinate tasks, track project progress, and update project status to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Monitor and document project risks, issues, and resolutions, escalating concerns as needed.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**:
- Act as a liaison between development teams, product teams, and other stakeholders to facilitate clear communication.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure project goals align with educational outcomes, user engagement metrics, and curriculum standards.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and change logs.
- Prepare and distribute regular project reports to key stakeholders, highlighting project milestones, progress, risks, and any adjustments to timelines.
- Collaborate with product and UX teams to document user requirements and ensure the final product meets educational objectives.
- **Resource and Task Management**:
- Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, balancing project needs with team capacities and skills.
- Track task completion, project dependencies, and potential bottlenecks to ensure smooth project flow.
- Work with the development team to prioritize tasks, clarify project requirements, and ensure tasks align with project goals.
- **Quality Assurance and Testing Coordination**:
- Support quality assurance by coordinating testing efforts and user feedback cycles.
- Ensure testing schedules and bug-tracking align with project timelines and that user feedback is incorporated effectively.
- Facilitate product demos, usability testing, and feedback sessions with internal teams, educators, and other end-users.
- **Process Improvement and Agile Methodologies**:
- Promote agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in project delivery.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance project efficiency and team productivity.
- Collaborate with the development and product teams to optimize workflows and improve software delivery in alignment with educational needs.
**Qualifications**:
- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Project Management, Education Technology, or a related field.
- **Experience**:
- 1+ years of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably within software development or education technology.
- Proven experience coordinating projects related to education software products (e.g., LMS, eLearning platforms, assessment tools).
- **Knowledge and Skills**:
- Familiarity with software development processes, including agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello) and documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Google Workspace).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the education technology sector, understanding of learning outcomes, curriculum standards, and user experience in educational settings.
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating project risks.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other educational technologies.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and basic testing methodologies.
