Job Description: Sketcher and Illustrator in Jewellery Designing

Position Overview:
As a Sketcher and Illustrator in Jewellery Designing, your primary responsibility is to create detailed sketches and illustrations of Jewellery designs. You will collaborate closely with the Jewellery design team, including designers and gemologists, to transform their ideas into visual representations. Your artistic skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of Jewellery design principles will be essential in bringing concepts to life and ensuring accurate renditions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sketching and Illustration:

- Create initial sketches and illustrations of Jewellery designs based on design briefs and concept discussions.
- Use traditional drawing techniques or digital tools to produce accurate and detailed representations of Jewellery pieces.
- Pay close attention to proportion, scale, and composition to accurately convey design aesthetics.

2. Design Concept Development:

- Collaborate with Jewellery designers and other team members to understand design concepts and requirements.
- Translate verbal descriptions and ideas into visual representations through sketches and illustrations.
- Offer creative input and suggestions to enhance the design concepts while ensuring feasibility for production.

3. Technical Drawings:

- Develop technical drawings and renderings that provide accurate specifications for Jewellery manufacturing.
- Create detailed drawings with measurements, materials, gemstone placements, and other relevant technical details.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards and manufacturing processes during the creation of technical drawings.

4. Design Modifications and Refinements:

- Collaborate with the design team to review and modify sketches based on feedback and design revisions.
- Make necessary adjustments to sketches to incorporate changes while maintaining the original design intent.
- Continuously refine illustrations to ensure accuracy and alignment with the final design vision.

5. Research and Trend Analysis:

- Stay updated on the latest Jewellery design trends, industry standards, and market demands.
- Conduct research to explore new design possibilities and incorporate innovative elements into sketches.
- Analyze competitor designs and market trends to provide insights for the team's creative direction.

6. Communication and Collaboration:

- Effectively communicate design ideas, concepts, and technical details to the design team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including gemologists, production specialists, and marketing personnel.
- Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and presentations to share your artistic expertise.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a sketcher and illustrator in jewellery designing or a related field.
- Strong artistic and drawing skills with a keen eye for detail, proportion, and composition.
- Proficiency in traditional sketching techniques and/or digital illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Knowledge of Jewellery design principles, including gemstone settings, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with technical drawing and rendering techniques for Jewellery production.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Creative thinking ability and a passion for keeping up with current design trends.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
