Our Nursery is located in Dubai Sports City and transportation is provided from Al Rigga, Al Jaffaliya, Satwa. If living closer to the nursery a travel allowence will be given

**Salary range**: 6k - 8k dependent on experience

**Working hours**: 7am - 6pm

**Working days**: Monday - Friday

**Annual leave**: 30 days

**Job description**

To provide effective health care to pupils and first aid care to all members of the nursery community and ensure that the nursery meets all statutory requirements and is compliant with all DHA, Ministry of Health, DM, KHDA, and any other relevant authority’s guidelines and regulations with respect to the provision of nursery medical services.

**Key responsibilities**:
The Nursery Nurse will deliver medical and nursing services throughout the nursery, promoting a healthy nursery environment and providing coordination of care with organisational management skills and the use of communication networks.

The Nurse is effectively the Nurseries medical director and primary point of contact with all regulatory authorities such as DHA, Ministry of Health, DM, and KHDA and will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the nursery meets all statutory requirements and is compliant with any relevant authority’s rules and regulations with respect to the provision of nursery medical services.

**Nursing**:

- Plan, implement, and evaluate health care, ensuring our health service is responsive to change and development within the nursery.
- Acts as a clinical expert and role model participating in the development of nursery nursing practice.
- Participate in staff training in relation to medical treatment and student health care.
- Provide first aid and emergency care to the nursery population
- Provide effective and supportive communication with parents about the pupils’ condition and nursing care given
- When required transfers the student to the nearest Accident and Emergency hospital department as per the standard procedure.
- Ensure that all medical supplies and equipment needed for first aid and emergency care are available and in working condition
- Ensure administration of nursing care appropriate to the nursing needs of the pupil.
- Administer medicines, treatments as per written standing order of the child's relevant doctor

**Health**:

- Regularly monitor the health status, growth, and development of each pupil to identify health problems that may adversely affect the learning process.
- Prevent and control the prevalence of infectious/communicable diseases in nursery
- Conducting of pupils' medical examinations, ensuring effective communication with parents and relevant nursery staff
- Monitor pupils who are frequently absent from nursery due to health-related problems and follow up with the parents with respect to this
- Provide evaluation of pupils’ immunisation history and offer education and advice to parents with regard to the standard immunisation schedules.

**Health Education**:

- Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health education programs aimed to enhance pupils’ healthy lifestyles.
- Provide health education and promotion to pupils and staff
- Assess health needs through team collaboration and planning and develop a nursery health plan.

**Risk assessments**:

- To generate relevant risk assessments and update when necessary
- Carry out daily risk assessments before children arrive at nursery

**Administration**:

- Overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and in particular, all DHA, Ministry of Health, DM, KHDA, (and any other relevant authority’s) rules and regulations with respect to the provision of nursery medical services. This includes, but is not limited to, renewal of all relevant licenses, as per the DHA (or relevant authority’s) rules and regulations.
- Develop and maintain pupils’ health records ensuring accurate and confidential documentation of nursing care given.
- Maintain Health Records kept in the nursery clinic
- Document all drug administration to pupils ensuring accurate communication with parents
- Assist in the collection and correlation of statistical data maintaining required records and reports as per guidelines for the purpose of submission to nursery health services
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of medical supplies and equipment needed for the full functioning of the medical clinic.
- Develop, evaluate and maintain nursery health policies and procedures

Support admin team when absent

**Health and Safety**:

- Monitor and maintain a safe and healthy nursery environment
- Report and suggest any findings that require attention to the Nursery Manager
- Ensure records of reported accidents are maintained
- Provide accident reports when required
- Monitor and check Hygiene and cleaning rules, procedures, and policies
