Job description & Activities

ROLE

Logistics supervisor oversees the shipping and delivery of materials and warehouse personnel. Works in warehouse settings and are involved in managing the loading of trucks. setting up delivery routes and unloading materials. Manages inventory and maintains communications with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers, and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Logistics supervisor must attend to many tasks to ensure goods are shipped and delivered in a timely manner and that inventory levels are sufficiently maintained.

1. Schedule shipments and deliveries
- Main responsibility is to oversee the transportation of products. Must arrange product pick ups and deliveries with transportation companies. May conduct a cost analysis of several transportation companies to select one that is cost efficient and able to handle shipment loads.

2. Build relationships with vendors
- Communicates with trucking companies, warehouse supervisors, custom brokers, sales forces, and customers.

3. Maintain warehouse Inventory
- Studies client or customer needs and manage inventory based on these needs. Includes analyzing product orders to research the need for keeping certain items in stock. Responsible for re-ordering of product as needed to maintain sufficient inventory levels.

**Requirements**:
1. University Degree

2. 2 years working experience for the same position

Skills and Knowledge: - Understanding planning, shipping warehouse management and inventory systems
- Managing daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries
- Tracking the progress of shipment
- Knowledge in warehouse operations
- Reviewing inventory needs and keeping adequate stocks.

Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
