- As part of our commitment to our customers, we are dedicated to helping enable creative, automation-based solutions for all sizes of businesses and require an experienced VMWare Architect to join our EMEA team.
- You will ideally have proven experience in multiple VMWare deployments. Your engagements will see you working directly with customers and prospects. You will have confidence in knowing your skills (and limitations), you are calm and collected under pressure and always available to mentor the less experienced. Your colleagues see you as a good team player who is keen to share knowledge as well as to listen and learn from others.
- Travel to a customer-site in Saudi Arabia will be required.
- Arabic language skills will be highly advantageous.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operating as a Lead Architect to support the pre-sales, design, delivery and operation of VMware technology offerings.
- Providing expert VMware technical leadership, guidance and solution governance for all VMware activities
- Architect VMware solutions in hybrid cloud environments
- Implementing VMware solutions and proof of concept environments
- Participating in client workshops and working as part of joint Rackspace / customer teams
- Documenting solutions and identifying risks for management
- Providing expert VMware technical consultancy and advice to customers and project teams
- Interpreting internal/external business challenges and recommending best practices to improve products, processes or services

**Technical Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of designing, building, implementing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed, highly available systems
- Mastery Knowledge of the VMware Platform. Including but not limited to: a_dvanced knowledge of the vSphere platform, strong networking and NSX administration skills, strong working knowledge of fibre channel SANS, NFS and vSAN, strong knowledge of vROPS/vRLI, strong working knowledge of HP/DELL Server hardware platforms, strong knowledge/troubleshooting of Disaster Recovery technologies (e.g. ZERTO, SRM)_
- Strong knowledge of Project Management methodologies
- Strong understanding of services and protocols, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of hosting environments, including web servers, databases, caching, and database services
- Scripting knowledge/experience is a plus(PowerCLI, REST).
- Strong knowledge of vCloud Director and vCloud Foundation.

**Other Skills**:

- Analytical thinking and creative problem solving; you will own issues until full resolution
- Good time management skills
- Good communication skills - both verbal and written - with an ability to create and share project-related documentation
- Producing design documents such as HLDs and LLDs
- Willingness to learn and a quick learner
- Relevant certifications a big plus.
