**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Under mínimal direction, Installation, configuration and upgrading of SQL server software and related products
- Evaluate SQL Server features and SQL Server related products
- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
- Database design and implementation
- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users
- and roles, assign privileges)
- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring
- Setup and maintain documentation and
- standards
- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)
- Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required
- Perform general technical trouble shooting and give
- consultation to development teams
- Interface with Microsoft for technical support.
- Patch Management and Version Control
- High Availability Solution Design
- Installation and
- Configuration of high availability databases
- Basic Operating system management for performance monitoring.
- Communicating any technical requirements to the team members and
- work closely with the team to ensure proper delivery of business requirements
- Technical solution design for implementation
- Implementation of Change management, Incident Management and Request Management

**Budgets and Plans**
- Assist in preparing & presenting the function's budget and monitor financial performance of the department to provide management with visibility of forecast cost and revenues, areas of underperformance and opportunities to improve.

**Safety, Quality & Environment, Facility Management**
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the section to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Motivate the team and identify opportunities to take part in change initiatives, programs and projects that reflect international best practices and enhance productivity & profitability.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of accounting processes and practices, keeping an eye on international best practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

**Policies, Processes & Procedures**
- Recommend improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers
- Coordinate with the Manager to implement improvements to departmental policy and direct the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of General Service's activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service to customers.

**Technical Requirements**
- 6 - 8 years' experience in the relevant field
