Gis Drafstman

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Create, update, and maintain geographic information system (GIS) databases.
- Produce high-quality maps and other graphical representations of spatial data.
- Perform spatial analysis to support various projects and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to understand GIS requirements and objectives.
- Conduct data collection, validation, and quality assurance procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of GIS standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users of GIS software and tools.
- Stay updated on advancements in GIS technology and industry trends.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE**:

- Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of spatial data concepts, including coordinate systems, projections, and geoprocessing techniques.
- Familiarity with data formats commonly used in GIS, such as shapefiles, geodatabases, and raster datasets.
- Knowledge of cartographic principles and techniques for map design and layout.
- Ability to interpret and analyze spatial data to derive meaningful insights and conclusions.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in GIS data management, analysis, or cartography is a plus

**EDUCATION AND TRAINING**:

- Bachelor's degree in geography, GIS, environmental science, or a related field is preferred.
