**Required Qualifications**
- Master's Degree in Leadership/ and or Administration or relevant qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant qualification
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in school leadership ( Vice Principal, Department Head, and the likes)
- Proven record of successful operation and management experience
- Proven record as an instructional leader with a deep understanding of teaching, learning and assessment across levels
- Professional and personal commitment to the successful implementation and development of academic programs
- Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to the general welfare of the entire school community.

**Reports to MANAGING DIRECTOR**

The Principal will have the responsibility for the internal management, organisation and

operation of the school.

**EDUCATIONAL**:The Principal will**:

- Have a clearly defined educational philosophy a set out in the School’s General Policy

Statement and will lead the implementation of this policy for the all-round development

of each student within a stimulating and orderly environment.
- Oversee the implementation of the ADEK curriculum in the school and take full responsibility

for student achievement.
- Make sure that there is provision for development of a meaningful and effective curriculum.
- Establish, in consultation with staff, evaluation techniques for both curriculum and students.
- Oversee the provision for students who have Special Educational Needs and ensure adequate provision for them.
- Keep abreast of current educational development with ADEK.

**SCHOOL LEADERSHIP/ MANAGEMENT**:The Principal will**:

- Attend all fortnightly Progress Monitoring Meetings with the Education Development

Manager, unless prevented from doing so by illness or other unavoidable cause.
- Submit a monthly report on the progress made during that specific month to the Education

**PASTORAL : The Principal will**:

- Act “in loco parentis” in respect of all students in the school.
- Be approachable by staff, students and parents.
- Take lead responsibility for the physical safety and health welfare of the students and staff.
- Ensure the soundless of school building and grounds so that the safety of those working within is not put in danger.
- Oversee and take full responsibility for the day to day discipline in the school.
- Be answerable for “ Public Relations “ with parents, press, the community and others.
- Encourage and develop the activities of the Parent Teacher Association.
- Promote staff development in order to improve the career prospects of the staff and the degree of job satisfaction.

**ORGANIZATIONAL** **:The Principal will**:

- Deploy teaching and non-teaching staff in an efficient manner.
- Make sure that there is efficient management of available resources.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the school.
- Take responsibility for non-teaching staff and their work.

**ADMINISTRATIVE**:The Principal will**:

- Keep the Education Development Manager aware of events in the school, through attendance at Education Development Manager’ meetings and the submission of written

reports.
- Advise the Education Development Manager on matters relating to the school.
- Ensure that the decisions of the Education Development Manager are put into effect as efficient as possible.
- Provide credible information about the school to parents and others.
- Make certain that a high level of attendance is maintained by students and staff.
- Take overall responsibility for the security of school and its contents, day to day security

being the responsibility of the security guards.

**GENERAL**:The Principal will**:

- Be responsible to the Education Development Manager and the Executive Manager for the implementation of company policies embracing the above categories.
- Be responsible for the implementation of performance management procedure for all staff;
the efficiency of the school and those working in it against their performance target.
