We are building a digital ecosystem a launchpad for creators and a marketplace for creative digital assets enabling and democratizing access to investment in early stage entertainment intellectual property (IP).

We see an immense opportunity to scout nurture and finance nascent creative IPs tailoring them from the ground up to seamlessly integrate into film gaming and locationbased entertainment franchises right at the preproduction stage.We need the right talent to join us to build it.

This is an opportunity to join the talent pool of our projectbased art directors and concept artists. In this role you will help define and grow new entertainment IP franchises from the ground up. At 3RD UNIT unlike roles in organizations with strictly defined rules for their intellectual properties you will have a larger early impact on the definition of new properties. You will work in a larger crossfunctional team and balance creative ambition commercial appeal and speed. You can come from a background in gaming film fine arts or architecture and be a generalist (world/style/experience building) or a specialist (e.g. environments characters fashion artifacts vehicles architecture). We seek individuals who are team players with extraordinary taste creative confidence and intriguing aesthetics.

1. Art directors

  • at least 2 years in leadership role

  • at least 5 years (overall) in artistic craftsmanship role (concept art graphic design film gaming or animation)

2. Concept artists

  • at least 3 years in artistic craftsmanship role

  • specialties may include: environments characters fashion artifacts vehicles architecture

Role expectations:

  • experience in development incubation processes and franchise preproductions.

  • ability to guide small (34 people) talentdense development teams ensuring consistent quality and vision appropriate for the projects objectives and stage.

  • experience working with or designing for branded content (video animation IP posters).

  • understanding of 2D and 3D asset production requirements.

  • experience or welljustified interest in generative AI creatorsupporting tools.

  • experience or welljustified interest in web3/blockchainbased technologies.

  • a keen eye for nonconventional stories and aesthetics.

  • fluency in English.
