What you will do

The Business Development Manager is a key role reporting directly to the Associate Director, Sales BAS & Controls Middle East region. You will be based in Dubai to drive the growth of the Controls products business in the Middle East region, and

  • Identify new opportunities to secure business by analyzing Controls products market/competitors, and maintain and expand relationships with new & existing customers
  • Target to have our Controls products specified by consultants and installers into their bids and projects
  • Develop long-term relationships with consultants, developers, and end-users to promote the sales of Controls products to achieve business objective
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality technical presentations, live product demonstrations to channel partners, consultants, developers, end-users and recommend viable solutions for their project requirements

How you will do it

As a Business Development Manager, you will use in-depth technical knowledge of Controls Products/Building Automation Systems to develop short and long-range sales plans, prepare sales strategies to reach nominated targets for Channel Partner business. Deliver assigned business plan in terms of secured sales volume and gross margin, support the Management team with the formulation and execution of the business growth strategy, and 

  • Prepare and present regular customer reviews based on market intelligence, customer issues, and financial performance
  • Prepare and present reports by collecting quantitative information to analyzing market trends, competitive matrix, products gap vs market demands and propose a growth action plan for each channel in the territory
  • Team up with Sales Manager to ensure the annual sales target are met for the territory
  • Facilitate the channel partners, consultants, developers, and end-users on design and specifications
  • Liaise with Training, Product Management, and Technical Support resources to ensure that proposals and feature requests include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs
  • Build the pipeline using Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Undertake face to face presentation to clients' for specific service and product offerings
  • Maintain a high-level customer contact, effectively resolve problems and/or provide service and deliver the commitments 
  • Improve forecast accuracy you will maintain the record of target opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence in company approved databases
  • Enhance brand visibility, credibility and actively seeking ways to improve profit, market share, and reputation

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor Degree or above, preferably in Mechanical/HVAC/Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years experience in Sales Management or Business Development in Controls/Building Automation Systems in the MEA region
  • Excellent influencer at all organizational levels, including the ability to develop credibility and trust quickly with senior managers/decision-makers.
  • Consultative approach, customer solution-focused, and excellent in developing successful relationships with customers.
  • Proficient in generating new business by using existing and potential customer networks.
  • Negotiator, self-starter, tireless and results-driven mentality, able to continually critique & optimize performance.
  • Ability to lead, develop strategic partnerships, and present concepts, and articulate business values to consultants, developer, and key decision-makers.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Flexible in traveling.
