Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chrome Art Painter with expertise in

chrome painting

onto fiberglass, 3D-printed sculptures, and other complex artistic surfaces. The ideal candidate possesses an in-depth understanding of advanced chroming techniques, including surface preparation, priming, application, and sealing to ensure durability, longevity, and an impeccable mirror-like finish.
This role demands both technical mastery and an artistic sensibility, with the ability to execute precision work on both small, intricate pieces and large-scale installations.
The candidate must demonstrate expertise in chemical mixing and color formulation, ensuring optimal material compatibility and superior finish quality. Additionally, they must be adept at problem-solving, identifying and rectifying adhesion issues, coating inconsistencies, and environmental factors that could affect the chroming process.
A keen eye for detail, color accuracy, and surface perfection is essential, as well as the ability to work seamlessly within a creative and high-end production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Surface Preparation & Finishing: Prepare and prime fiberglass, 3D-printed materials, and various sculptural surfaces for chrome application.
Ensure flawless surface conditions by addressing imperfections and optimizing adhesion quality.
Application of Chrome Finishes: Execute high-precision application of chrome coatings, achieving a smooth, uniform, and reflective surface.
Utilize advanced spray gun techniques to control layering, coverage, and sheen.
Chemical & Color Mixing: Expertly mix and match chemicals, pigments, and clear coats to achieve desired artistic and technical effects.
Ensure optimal compatibility of materials for enhanced durability and longevity.
Environmental & Safety Compliance: Maintain a controlled painting environment, regulating temperature, humidity, ventilation, and contamination risks to ensure a pristine finish.
Adhere to industry-standard safety protocols, ensuring compliance with hazardous material handling and proper disposal procedures.
Quality Control & Problem-Solving: Conduct meticulous inspections and quality assurance tests to ensure adherence to aesthetic and technical standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve paint adhesion issues, finish inconsistencies, curing defects, and material compatibility concerns.
Collaboration & Efficiency: Work closely with artists, designers, and production teams to bring artistic visions to life.
Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing speed and quality to meet tight deadlines without compromising excellence.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay at the forefront of emerging painting techniques, chroming technologies, and material advancements.
Implement new methodologies and refinements to enhance production efficiency and aesthetic outcomes.
Requirements
Proven expertise in chrome painting, particularly on fiberglass, 3D-printed surfaces, and sculptural materials.
Exceptional technical proficiency in surface preparation, priming, application, and finishing techniques.
Advanced knowledge of chemical formulations, color mixing, and material compatibility to achieve premium-quality finishes.
Proven ability to paint both intricate small-scale artworks and expansive large-scale installations with meticulous attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving acumen, capable of identifying and resolving coating inconsistencies, adhesion failures, and environmental challenges.
Experience operating and maintaining professional chroming equipment, spray systems, and finishing tools.
Thorough understanding of clear coats, UV-protection layers, and specialized sealing techniques.
Highly disciplined approach to workspace organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety regulations.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-end creative production environment.
