Director - Key Account, Maritime & Shipping Cluster

The Key Account Director at AD Ports Group's Maritime & Shipping Cluster leads strategic client relationships, driving revenue growth and operational excellence. They collaborate with commercial leaders to develop and execute strategies that enhance the group's revenue in the maritime sector. This role involves managing key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and aligning services with client needs to foster long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- In line with 5X5 Corporate Strategy, provide leadership to influence revenue growth to c. 1 billion AED per year by 2027 from 5 out of top 10 key accounts
- Build industry understanding to build KA strategies to offer differentiated customer value proposition and achieve excellence in customer satisfaction
- Build strategic perspective and planning, and shared vision for the key accounts with the clusters to achieve exponential revenue growth targets
- Owner of Abu Dhabi Ports Group's (ADPG) relationship with senior leadership of 5 out of 10 key accounts (KA)
- Influence cluster leadership teams to collaborate for development of integrated supply chain solutions for KA leveraging cross cluster synergies
- Transition the KA into Global accounts with ADPG's growing international footprint expansion to service KA across various geographical clusters
- Serve as primary point of contact for senior leadership internally with cluster leaders, corporate functions and externally with customers
- Liaise with Cluster leadership and engage, coordinate and drive internal teams to ensure key accounts needs are met and projects and initiatives are professionally executed
- Set clear goals and expectations for the key accounts team, provide training and development opportunities to help them improve their skills and hold them accountable for their performance.
- Foster an industry understanding to build strategies that offer differentiated customer value proposition and achieve excellence in customer satisfaction.
- Act as a strategic advisor on market practices and ensure to answer key accounts needs as per AD Ports Group policies and regulations.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or similar) is preferred.
- English (Arabic is added advantage)
- 15 years' experience in supply chain management or logistics with leading companies
- Exposure and network in the upstream oil & gas sector in UAE is an advantage
