The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and attractive conditions of the hotel or facility. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities:- Supervise Staff: Oversee the work of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
- Training: Train new employees on cleaning procedures and company policies.
- Scheduling: Create and manage work schedules for housekeeping staff.
- Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed.
- Customer Service: Address guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on housekeeping activities and performance.
- Environment: Work is performed in a facility management or similar environment.
- Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational and leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality management is a plus.
- At least three (3) years of experience in housekeeping.
- BICSc Certificate.
