As a Planning Engineer for our Fit-Out Company in Dubai, you will play a crucial role in the successful planning and execution of fit-out projects. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring that projects are completed within the specified timelines and budgetary constraints.

Responsibilities:
  1. Project Planning:
    • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for fit-out projects.
    • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
    • Ensure alignment of project schedules with overall business objectives and client expectations.
  2. Resource Allocation:
    • Identify and allocate resources required for each project phase.
    • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
    • Optimize resource utilization to maximize project efficiency.
  3. Progress Monitoring:
    • Regularly monitor project progress against established schedules.
    • Identify and highlight the potential delays or roadblocks and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
    • Provide timely updates to project stakeholders on schedule status.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Anticipate and identify potential risks that may impact project schedules.
    • Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and minimize disruptions.
    • Work collaboratively with project teams to address and resolve issues promptly.
  5. Communication:
    • Facilitate effective communication between different project teams and stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular meetings to review project schedules, discuss challenges, and provide updates.
    • Prepare and present reports on project progress to management and clients.
  6. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedules and documentation.
    • Ensure that all project-related documents are organized and easily accessible.
    • Prepare reports and analysis on project timelines and completion.
  7. Quality Assurance:
    • Work with the quality assurance team to integrate quality control measures into the project schedule.
    • Ensure that all project activities adhere to quality standards and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent English & Arabic language skills are required.
  • Ability to visit the site around the UAE on a regular basis.
  • Having a driving license and a car to facilitate site transportation.
  • Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the fit-out or construction industry.
  • Proficient in project management software tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and construction practices in Dubai.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
