Role Objective

To effectively lead, manage, and support the restaurant team in achieving the business goals outlined in the Annual Operating Plan, while consistently meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the following areas:

  • People
  • Customer and Restaurant Excellence
  • Profit

Key Result Areas & Performance Indicators

  • Collaborate with the Area Coach (AC) to execute restaurant-specific Annual Operating Plans, and ensure clear communication to the team.
  • Assist the AC in developing monthly business plans for the restaurant and lead regular performance reviews.
  • Support the execution of local and national marketing plans.
  • Ensure the successful launch and implementation of new products.
  • Drive upselling initiatives in alignment with sales targets.
  • Ensure all cash handling procedures are followed (deposits, receipts, cash fund, paid-outs, etc.).
  • Analyze P&L to identify variances and coach the team to implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor operational efficiency through metrics like Transactions Per Labor Hour (TPLH) and Pace Setter.
  • Review and coach on key cost metrics including food, labor, and other controllable expenses.
  • Manage store petty cash and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Conduct or oversee regular audits to maintain financial and procedural compliance.

4. Restaurant Excellence

  • Drive a customer-focused culture and lead by example in resolving customer and team concerns.
  • Analyze customer complaints and implement proactive solutions.
  • Coordinate with AC and HR to plan and lead rewards & recognition (R&R) activities.
  • Ensure restaurant operations meet or exceed KPIs for service quality and cleanliness.
  • Maintain awareness of operational changes and new product introductions.
  • Monitor and execute maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of inspections and serious customer concerns.
  • Promote a "Customer Obsession" mindset across the team.
  • Lead initiatives to improve order accuracy, speed, courtesy, and cleanliness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with the Regional Operations Manager.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across teams.
  • Identify and develop High Potential (HiPo) team members.
  • Ensure the effective rollout and monitoring of training and development plans.
  • Evaluate team performance against established goals and drive improvement strategies.
  • Reinforce adherence to safety standards and procedures.
  • Address labor-related issues in consultation with Operations and HR teams.
  • Lead performance management processes including appraisals, development plans, bench planning, and PCR.
