Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing compliance activities, reviewing company policies, and advising management on possible risks.
- Proactively auditing processes, practices, and documents.
- Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with all the legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Identify risks or non-conformity issues, draft, modify, and implement company policies.
- Monitor enforcement of standards and regulations while collaborating with various departments.
- Identify possible compliance risks by assessing the business's future ventures.
- Identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
- Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
- Develop and implement an effective legal compliance program.
- Evaluate business activities (e.g., investments) to assess compliance risk.
- Collaborate with external auditors and HR when needed.
- Set plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation.
- Educate and train employees on regulations and industry practices.
- Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Legal or related studies.
- At least 5 years of experience in a compliance officer role.
- Good knowledge of legal requirements and procedures ideally within the trading or FMCG industry.
- Good knowledge of the Food Manufacturing industry standards and regulations.
