QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Uludağ Beverages is a growing organization in the industry, committed to operational excellence and supporting our clients with quality service. We are currently seeking a Food Safety & Quality Officer to join our team in Dubai, the UAE, to assist in day-to-day quality operations and provide critical support for business units.
As a Food Safety & Quality Officer, you will be responsible for assisting with Food Hygiene audits & recommending corrective actions.
What you bring to the table
- Two years of relevant experience in food safety and food control and/or development of food safety and quality standards in UAE
- Bachelor's degree in Food Safety-related stream (Microbiology/Food Sciences/Biology or similar)
- Strong knowledge of local regulations, including Dubai Municipality's regulations
- HACCP/ISO22000 certification courses (minimum level 3)
- Knowledge in writing SOPs for Hygiene and Food Safety procedures
- Foodwatch Platform usage experience is a plus
- Experience in conducting training
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Experience in the F&B or FMCG industry is a plus.
What You'll Do:
- Investigate food safety-related incidents to determine root causes and advise on methods for prevention of recurrence.
- Conduct internal Food Hygiene audits & recommend corrective actions.
- Provide expertise and direction for all aspects of the food and beverage activities in line with the overall business strategy.
- Inspect and supervise workplaces to ensure that workers are protected from dangerous or unsafe conditions.
- Inspect workspaces and machinery to verify that they are safe and study the effects that business has on the surrounding environment.
- Maintain food safety and hygiene-related documentation.
- Prepare training programs, cleaning/work schedules, updating of staff attendance & preparation and updating of HACCP and ISO 22000 Manual.
- Conduct inspections and audits of food production processes and premises to ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene.
- Ensure that all food is handled, prepared, stored, and transported in a satisfactory manner.
- Conduct checks and hygiene audits on all food items, storage, and preparation areas.
- Contact the pest control company for any pest issues in the operations area and review the pest control performance.
- Investigate customer complaints, product rejections, etc.
- Coordinate with legislative, regulatory and certification bodies for their requirements and ensure compliance, providing corrective actions to noted non-conformances.
- In charge of Annual Maintenance Contracts monitoring (pest control, grease trap, fire, gas, etc.).
- Conduct internal hygiene training.
- Any other task assigned by the manager.
