Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Developer with a strong background in Kotlin to join our mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building high-performance, secure, and user-friendly Android applications, particularly within the fintech or trading sectors. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain innovative mobile applications that deliver a seamless experience for our users.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop advanced Android applications using Kotlin, with a focus on security, performance, and scalability.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, backend developers, and product managers, to define, design, and implement new features.
3. Optimize the performance of Android applications through efficient coding practices and utilization of appropriate data structures.
4. Ensure the highest level of security in mobile applications by following best practices for data protection and secure coding.
5. Integrate with backend APIs and third-party services to enhance functionality and provide a seamless user experience.
6. Maintain and improve the codebase for existing Android applications, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and best practices are followed.
7. Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests, integration tests, and documentation to ensure the reliability and stability of the applications.
8. Monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance, identifying and addressing bottlenecks to improve speed and responsiveness.
9. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the Android development process.
10. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and code reviews to uphold high coding standards.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: 5+ years of experience in Android development, with a strong emphasis on Kotlin.
3. Proven experience in developing and launching successful Android applications, preferably in fintech or trading environments.
4. Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
5. Proficient in using Android development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, and Git.
6. Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services to connect Android applications to backend services.
7. Solid understanding of mobile UX/UI principles and best practices.
8. Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Android applications.
9. Deep understanding of mobile app security best practices and experience in implementing secure coding practices.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in Kotlin, with a strong understanding of Android SDK and development tools.
2. Experience with Android frameworks and libraries, including Jetpack components (e.g., ViewModel, LiveData, Room).
3. Knowledge of architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM) and design patterns.
4. Experience with performance and memory optimization techniques specific to Android.
5. Familiarity with Google Play Store submission processes and guidelines.
6. Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., JUnit, Espresso).
7. Knowledge of push notifications and Firebase services.
8. Experience with integrating third-party libraries and APIs.
