Assistant Manager - Sports World (Emirati)

Position Title: Assistant Manager - Sports World (Emirati)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sports Event Coordination:
    Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of sports-related events and activities hosted at the venue.
    Collaborate with the marketing, operations, and technical teams to ensure that all sports events are smoothly executed.
    Coordinate logistics for sporting events, including scheduling, equipment setup, and athlete coordination.
  2. Venue Management & Operations:
    Manage day-to-day operations of the Sports World venue to ensure the venue is ready for events, including maintenance, cleanliness, and safety.
    Supervise and coordinate venue setup and breakdown for sports events and activities.
    Ensure that all operational aspects, including seating, lighting, sound systems, and technical requirements, are in place.
    Liaise with vendors and suppliers for equipment, catering, and other services required for sports events.
    Manage relationships with sports teams, sponsors, and stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
    Coordinate with local authorities, sports organizations, and partners to ensure smooth execution of events.
  3. Customer Experience:
    Ensure an exceptional customer experience by overseeing customer service teams and handling any issues or concerns during events.
    Work with the marketing team to ensure events are promoted effectively to target audiences.
    Provide on-site support to athletes, spectators, and event organizers to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Budgeting & Cost Control:
    Assist in managing budgets for sports events, ensuring cost efficiency without compromising the quality of service.
    Monitor and track expenses for sports-related events, ensuring they are within the allocated budget.
    Develop strategies to optimize resource allocation and reduce operational costs.
  5. Health & Safety Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during sports events, including crowd management, emergency protocols, and athlete safety.
    Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures to mitigate potential hazards during events.
  6. Event Reporting & Analysis:
    Monitor and report on the success and performance of sports events, including audience feedback, operational issues, and financial outcomes.
    Provide recommendations for improvement based on event evaluations and feedback.
    Prepare post-event reports for senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event management or sports management, preferably within a venue operations or sports entertainment environment.
    Experience managing large-scale sports events or activities is a plus.
