Jumeirah Group's newest resort Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will lead a new generation of Group's ultra-luxury portfolio. Nestled at the tip of a peninsula at the heart of Dubai's largest private beach, with design influences of a futuristic superyacht, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab will feature 303 rooms, 84 suites, and 82 serviced residences set amid private landscaped gardens.
About the Job:
An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join our Butlers team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Manage and conduct regular inspections of all butler areas including occupied and non-occupied rooms, floor receptions, and butlers' pantries to ensure standards and consistency are always maintained to the highest level.
- Ensure that the team adheres to all hotel and company standards, business conduct and ethics, policies and procedures including Health & Safety policies, Butler's Grooming standards, punctuality/attendance procedures, and quality standards.
- Monitor VIP guest/customer arrivals and inspection of VIP Suites to ensure special arrangements are ready upon arrival to meet their preferences. Coordinate with other operating departments, notably front office, to manage VIP guests/customers' requests.
- Monitor the Credit Check, Rate variance, housekeeping discrepancy reports and ensure they are actioned, duly signed, and filed as required.
- Actively obtain feedback from guests through comment cards/trip advisor etc. to improve services and facilities. Share obtained feedback with respective departments.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards as per LQA. Analyze Mystery Customer information, Profile Quality scores, and LQA results, communicate them to the team, and develop corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure strict adherence to all relevant Health, Safety, and Environment procedures, emergency procedures, and fire prevention regulations by the colleagues.
- Ensure strict adherence to all HACCP standards in line with local regulatory requirements by the colleagues.
- Manage team activities such as daily briefings, meetings, outings, and other necessary activities to keep the team engaged and motivated.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Ideally experience within a luxury 5-star environment is desirable.
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
- A strong understanding of financials is essential as well as the ability to operate within the policies, procedures, and systems.
